Yoshiyuki Tanaka
Marching Percussion, Brass Arranger and Visual Designer. Yoshi began his career playing in 1983 with the Yokohama Inspires. He played bass, snare drum, marimba and timpani. Yoshi began arranging at the age of 15. He has arranged brass, percussion and visual for the Kamakura All-Girls High School Marching Band 1984-87, Yokohama Inspires Drum and Bugle Corps 1992-96, Yokohama Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps 1992-96, Imperial Sound Drum and Bugle Corps 1998- 2000, Tokyo Phoenix Drum and Bugle Corps 2002, Yokohama Robbins Marching Band 2002 and the Phoenix Regiment drum and Bugle Corps 1991-present. Yoshi spent the summer of 1985 consulting with the Suncoast Sound Drum and Bugle Corps

Mark Teal
Mark Teal is currently the Director of Percussion for the Duncanville Independent School District as well as Assistant Director of Bands at Duncanville High School in Duncanville, Texas. Mark received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Texas where he gained a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education. While at North Texas, Mark performed with the Wind Symphony, Classical Percussion Ensemble, Pop Ensemble, Steel Band, and the 2000 world-champion UNT Indoor Drumline. Mark spent four years, 1996, 1998-2000 as a member of the front ensemble with Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps. He has been a staff member with Carolina Crown and currently, the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps. Mark is an educational endorser for Dynasty Percussion and Innovative Percussion.

Mike Thomas



Scott Thomas
Currently Scott is the Percussion Arranger for Gardner-Webb University in North Carolina. He is also the Percussion Consultant and Arranger for many high school band programs across the country. He is the former Director of Percussion Education and Arranger at Eastern Randolph High School. While under his instruction, they became one of the top percussion programs in the southeast and also took home the bronze medal at the CWEA Indoor Championships their first season out after being promoted to a higher class. He is also the former Director of Percussion and Arranger at George Washington High School, where he built the percussion section into one of the premier programs in the state. Scott has recently helped with getting the percussion program up and running at Holly Springs High School. He also spent some time teaching the drumline at Western Alamance High School. During his early childhood Scott started playing drums. When he was three years old, he got his first drum set. Throughout his school years, Scott continued his musical education. He is a graduate of Orange High School in Hillsborough, North Carolina where he was in every music course and ensemble offered and was also Drumline Captain. In his sophomore year of high school Scott began writing music and then started teaching drumlines after graduation. He has taught and arranged for very many successful programs, and has led all of his groups to award winning seasons. Some groups include: George Washington HS - Danville, Virginia, West Johnston HS - Benson, North Carolina, Orange HS - Hillsborough, North Carolina, and many more. Scott also has experience in the Drum Corps and Indoor activity as a performer, arranger, and instructor. Some groups include: Crossmen Drum & Bugle Corps - Newark, Delaware (Member), Virginia Helmsmen Percussion Ensemble - Danville, Virginia (Instructor), Shockwave Percussion Ensemble - Durham, North Carolina (Member/Captain/Instructor), and Carolina Gold Drum & Bugle Corps - Raleigh, North Carolina (Caption Head/Arranger). Scott has accumulated very many first place and high percussion awards along with a DCA High Percussion Title. He is looking down the road to future projects, some including an indoor percussion group that is in the works and hopefully a drum corps one day. Scott is an Independent artist with Dynasty USA Brass and Percussion and is a Marching Percussion Specialist on the Vic Firth Education Team. Tommy Thompson
Tommy Thompson, serving in his ninth year as Assistant Band Director and Percussion Instructor at Grenada High School, has received the"Distinguished Assistant Band Director of the Year Award" from the Mississippi Band Directors Association, the Mississippi Chapter of the American School Band Director's Association. Thompson has been instructing Marching Percussion Sections in the State of Mississippi for the past fifteen years. He earned a Bachelor of Music Education Degree from Delta State University and received instruction from some of the foremost leaders in marching percussion including Jim Campbell, Thom Hannum, Bret Kuhn, Lalo Davila, Dennis Delucia, Greg Rinehart and Mark Ford.
