Ronnie LaGroneRon is presently as percussion arranger and caption head for the Colt Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps from Dubuque, IA. He served in the capacities as consultant, percussion arranger, and caption head of percussion with the award-winning Westview High School Percussion Ensemble (5th place in scholastic A division at the 2007 WGI Finals) and the award-winning Oregon Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps from the 2003-2005 (2004 Division 3 Champions). He has also worked with groups such as Grenada High School, Tupelo High School, Vicksburg High School, Southridge High School, the University of Mississippi Drumline, The Northern Lights Summer Marching Band, and Oregon State University Percussion. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1995 from the University of Mississippi where he majored in Percussion Performance and attended the University of Oregon Graduate School for further studies in music education and percussion performance. Ron plays professionally in the Portland metro area and is the director of bands in Banks, OR. Ronnie is a Dynasty, REMO and PROMARK artist.
Bobby Lambert
Mr. Lambert joined the faculty of Marian Catholic High School in 2001. Prior to coming to Marian, Mr. Lambert was the graduate assistant in saxophone performance at the University of Massachusetts under the instruction of internationally known artist, Mr. Lynn Klock. Mr. Lambert also had the opportunity to guest conduct the University of Massachusetts Wind Ensemble and study conducting under Mr. Malcomb Rowell. While at UMass, Mr. Lambert performed in masterclasses for Kenneth Fisher and Eugene Rousseau and premiered compositions of jazz great Yusef Lateef. Mr. Lambert received his Masters of Music in saxophone performance from the University of Massachusetts and his B.S. Ed in music education from Western Carolina University. While there, he served as drum major of the Pride of the Mountains Marching Band for three years. Mr. Lambert is a leadership clinician for high school musicians and athletes, teaching clinics for drum majors and other student leaders throughout the Southeast. He has also written a workbook for high school drum majors entitled From the Podium. In addition to teaching leadership camps, Mr. Lambert works as a drill designer for United Music Enterprises with nationally known how designer Bob Buckner. He has written shows for colleges and universities across the country. His professional affiliations include MENC, IMEA and Phi Mu Alpha. Mr. Lambert lives in Steger with his wife Alysia, who is a music teacher at Lincoln-Way East High School in Frankfort, Illinois.
Neil LandiniMr. Landini is the assistant Band Director at Powhatan High School in Powhatan, Virginia. He has served in various capacities with the Powhatan Bands and Ensembles since 1997. The percussion program in Powhatan county covers the high school marching band percussion section, two indoor drumlines, five concert percussion classes covering grades 6-12 as well as solo performance development. Mr. Landini has a B.M. in Music Education from Virginia Commonwealth University and studied with Mr. T. Howard Curtis, Mr. Mike Boyd, the late Mr. Donald A. Bick, Mr. Jim Jacobson and Mr. Barry Dove among others. Mr. Landini marched for the 1995 and 1996 seasons with Carolina Crown in the front ensemble. He has served as a percussion instructor with the Virginia Helmsmen, Tarheel Sun, and various programs around the state of Virginia. Mr. Landini is an active member of PAS, MENC, VMEA and VBDOA, and endorses both Dynasty USA Marching Percussion and Innovative Percussion sticks and mallets. Mr. Landini is married to his wife Melissa. They have one son, Jake, one daughter, Brooke. Johnny Lee LaneIndiana University School of Music proudly announces the hiring of Professor Johnny Lee Lane at IUPUI in Indianapolis. Lane is one of the Nation’s foremost college percussion educators. He was Professor of Music and Director of Percussion Studies at Eastern Illinois University for 28 years. In those years, he developed one of the finest total percussion programs in the nation. His students are college teachers, performers, and educators throughout the world. For 13 years, he was the Host and Founder of the UNITED STATES PERCUSSION CAMP. This camp was a total percussion camp with over 300 students and 37 faculty members. It was held each summer at Eastern Illinois University. At Eastern, Lane taught undergraduate and graduate percussion majors, conducted the percussion ensemble, marimba orchestras, marimba rag bands, and the World percussion program. At IUPUI, he teaches percussion, Black Music, and the Urban Percussion Ensembles. Lane’s main objective is to build a World Percussion Research Center at IUPUI. This will include percussion, drumming, music therapy, health & wellness, and technology. Lane continues to do clinics around the country for Zildjian, Mike Balter Mallets, Remo Drum Company, Silver Fox Marching Sticks, Grover Pro Percussion, Dynasty Marching Percussion, and HQ RealFeel Practice Pads. Professor Lane is available for workshops, clinics, conducting, and private lessons on all percussion instruments.
Chris LaughlinChris Laughlin is currently the marching percussion instructor and one of the percussion arrangers at Berea High School in Berea, Ohio. Chris has performed with both marching and concert percussion groups at Berea as well as a Cleveland pipe band and local percussion ensembles. Berea is consistently rated as one of the top 100 schools in the country for music education, the concert groups have consistently received superior ratings in Class AA at OMEA State Contest for over 20 years. His groups have performed numerous times for the Cleveland Browns, Walt Disney World, various news programs and statewide marching band shows. |
